I am very passionate about music and singing and have a great deal of experience of singing and performing. As well as a singing teacher and vocal coach, I am also a primary teacher with almost 20 years experience of teaching music and singing to school children. I believe it is important to improve my own knowledge and skills and so studied with VIDLA (Vocalist International Distance Learning Academy). In 2012, I gained a Diploma in Contemporary Vocals (Distinction) and also a Higher Certificate in Contemporary Vocal Teaching (Distinction) in 2014.

I teach in my own home, in Eyemouth, in a very open and relaxed atmosphere. I know that having a singing lesson can be a nerve-wracking experience, especially at first, so I provide a friendly reception when you arrive and try to put you at your ease.

I have a huge amount of resources available to ensure that your learning experience is very productive as well as fun! All students are provided with backing tracks, handouts and technical exercises as appropriate.

I am able to work with all abilities but am especially interested in helping enthusiastic singers of all ages who are perhaps in the early or intermediate stages of their vocal development. So if you’re new to singing tuition, it is crucial you are taught the basics, and taught them properly.
